St Patrick’s Day 2024

Join us on St Patrick’s Day, Sunday 17th March when we will be welcoming Rt Revd Dr Jill Duff, Bishop of Lancaster, as our preacher at our main morning worship services (10:00am and 11:30am).

Bishop David will then be joining us at 6:00pm for a special Light the Beacon Prayer service, to encourage us to pray as a diocese for rekindling of the fire of faith that Patrick lit in Ireland almost 1600 years ago.

Fundraising events 2024

During 2024, we have planned some exciting fun and fundraising events in the parish.

These include a Big Breakfast and car wash, Table Quiz, Wedding Dress Festival, Country Gospel evening and BBQ, Organ relay marathon, motorcycle show and Christmas Craft Fair.

Dromore Cathedral

On Wednesday 15th May the ladies of MATCH invite all church family and friends of the Cathedral to join them in the Cathedral Hall at 8:00pm. This night is open to men and women.

Our speaker will be Mr Brian Gault who was born in the sixties and was a thalidomide baby. Born with no upper limbs due to the thalidomide drug given to his mother, his amazing life story is not to be missed. Please try and join us and bring along any friends or family from the community and beyond.

There is no cost for the evening but there will be a retiring donation box at the door, with any donations going to Brian's ongoing ministry work.

Our Wedding Dress Festival, 'The Beauty of the Bride' starts next Thursday, 9th May and runs to Sunday 12th May in the Cathedral.

This promises to be a wonderful weekend in the life of our Cathedral and highlights include;
- Opening service on Thursday 9th May at 7.30pm - speaker: Lady Christine Eames, wife of Archbishop Robin Eames, with music provided by SOMA singers and a guest Soloist.
- The festival continues from Friday 10th from 12noon-8pm, Sat 11th from 10am-6pm and Sun 12th from 2pm-5pm.
- Classic Car Show to view in the Cathedral Hall car park on Saturday 11th
- Closing service on Sunday 12th at 6pm - speaker: Mrs Hilary McClay, wife of Bishop David McClay. Also at this service we will have a guest Soloist.

The Craft Class continues to meet each Tuesday morning from 10:30am to 12 noon in the Clayton Memorial Hall.

Everyone is welcome to join the group of ladies and enjoy some fellowship together while doing some knitting, sewing or craft work.
