Missing Organ: Organ Donors Wanted

The Conagher Organ at Dromore Cathedral has been removed from the church this week. Revealing windows which were last seen in 1870 approximately, the removal of the old organ is the first part of  long process of rebuilding this fine instrument, adding further stops and a new mechanism to it.We think the windows which face onto Church Street were blocked in to prevent either heat or daylight damaging the interior pipes and leatherwork of the organ. It is most strange to see daylight through them! So far only a handful of people alive today have seen the windows: come on Sundays to see them for yourself. While on the subject, it would be much appreciated by those awaiting an organ transplant of a different kind, if people attending churches in the town considered making an organ donation of a more life changing kind. Please sign on the organ donor register. Go to www.uktransplant.org.uk to see how to do it; and let your loved ones and church friends know you have done it. It will be a great encouragement to those awaiting a transplant.
