TEAM Leaders for Ciao and DCRock recently received their new materials, via the internet, to help them teach and lead on Sundays. Some new links have been created on this website’s BLOGROLL which may be of some value to the leaders. You may also notice that Bible Texts on our website now have links to enable your PC to open the text in front of you. At Thursday evening’s meeting at the Clayton Hall, CMSI’s David Gough challenged us to respond to the invitiation of Bishop Justin Badi to visit Maridi next March. An interested selection of parishioners were joined by five members of Movilla Abbey Parish. Following worship and an introduction to CMSI, David took the group through the procedures for applying to be on a META, Mission Experience Team Abroad, and encouraged us all to consider the possibilty of going.
Application Forms and Information Packs have been left with Stephen Lowry for anyone interested in finding out more. Applications need to be “in” by mid October.

On Friday September 26th from 10.30 to 12.00 we will be hosting a coffee morning for the work of Macmillan Cancer Care at the Clayton Hall. With scones teas and coffee available, and perhaps a few extra treats, this is a great way to support a useful and worthy cause.Jeanette Adair is helping to co-ordinate the team this year and we hope that others who normally help will be available as in the past. Please come and enjoy yourself: why not arrange to meet a few friends there too! Contact the office for details. For details of the work of Macmillan Nurses visit www.macmillan.org.uk
The Conagher Organ at Dromore Cathedral has been removed from the church this week. Revealing windows which were last seen in 1870 approximately, the removal of the old organ is the first part of long process of rebuilding this fine instrument, adding further stops and a new mechanism to it.We think the windows which face onto Church Street were blocked in to prevent either heat or daylight damaging the interior pipes and leatherwork of the organ. It is most strange to see daylight through them! So far only a handful of people alive today have seen the windows: come on Sundays to see them for yourself. While on the subject, it would be much appreciated by those awaiting an organ transplant of a different kind, if people attending churches in the town considered making an organ donation of a more life changing kind. Please sign on the organ donor register. Go to www.uktransplant.org.uk to see how to do it; and let your loved ones and church friends know you have done it. It will be a great encouragement to those awaiting a transplant.
