David Millen is in charge of “EM: Church Development and Conferences” and is coming to Dromore on Sunday 25th May 2008. David will speak to both 10.00 and 11.30 congregations as we continue our launch of Clearing our Vision, a development programme for the parish. With insights from his experience of church planting and leading Evangelical Ministries, David has much to say to the parish. We encourage people to come to hear him. Link to www.emins.com for more information.
News Sheet This is the News Sheet for Trinity Sunday 18th May. We welcome you to come to worship at Dromore Cathedral this Sunday.
The Bike Ride this year is due to take a trip from Scarva South to Newry and Back, thus completing a journey we began last year when we travelled from Scarva to Portadown.
The date is currently fixed at SATURDAY 14TH JUNE 2008: not the date originally suggested. Tom Knox and Trevor McKeown are the key men, [or spokes men] for this exciting journey in June. Please get your bikes tuned up, or contact Tom if you want to borrow a bike for the day.
Our Christian Aid Lunch, with moneys raised going to help Christian Aid respond to the recent emergency in Burma, took place on Pentecost Sunday after a united morning service.
Over £530 was donated at the meal and this will be forwarded immediately along with any outstanding donations to Christian AId. We thank everyone who supported the event and the Team who organised it.
080511-notices-web.pdf News Sheet for Sunday 11th May. There is no Celebrate at Ten but instead a United Service at 11.30 when we will Celebrate Pentecost Together. This service will be followed by a Parish Christian Aid Lunch at 12.30 in the Cathedral Hall.
It is going to be one of those special weeks in the church’s year when the two morning congregations join as one to celebrate a special season. It happens at Easter and Christmas and Harvest, and this Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, it happens again! See you at 11.30 for Celebrate Pentecost Together
We’re cooking up a recipe of music and worship and teaching which will help us all experience the excitement of Pentecost Sunday, in preparation for a PARISH LUNCH which follows immediately afterwards.
Our PARISH LUNCH is in aid of Christian Aid, and will be prepared by our midweek monthly lunch team as their last effort for the autumn-spring season. We look forward to generous support of the event.
