Dromore Cathedral History Reading Group celebrates its one-year anniversary and has its regular meeting on Monday 14th May 2018 at 7.30pm in the Clayton Hall. The book for discussion is Sicily: A Short History by John Julius Norwich. This book takes the reader on a 300-page gallop through the turbulent history of Sicily, encountering the Greeks, Romans and Normans as we go. Sicily’s role in the Napoleonic Wars and the Second World War, as well as the emergence of the Mafia, will be considered. As usual, Sicilian canapés and a congenial atmosphere are guaranteed. All are most welcome to attend.
