Last year’s sit out and street collection was a fantastic opportunity to show our community that we care for those beyond our own walls. So, we’ve decided to increase our effort this year by having our sit out at three locations in Dromore on Friday 14th December from 9-5pm, with the kind permission of the respective owners;
Graham’s Newsagent, Market Square:
Supervalu Supermarket, Banbridge Road:
Eurospar Supermarket, Hillsborough Road.
Please support this worthy cause.
Everyone is warmly invited to our Community Carol Service next Sunday evening at 6pm in the Cathedral. The service will feature a choir comprising singers from St Colman’s PS, Dromore Central PS and Dromore High School along with soloists and our own newly formed group of singers, SOMA; this will be their first public performance. The service will include readings, prayers and a presentation from someone from St John’s Hospice, Newry on the work and ministry of the Hospice; an offering will be received in favour of St John’s during the service.
Please do come along to what we trust will be an amazing evening of engagement with the wider community in our wonderful Cathedral.
The Cathedral will be open daily Monday to Friday during December (up to Thursday 20th) from 11.00am to 1.00pm. We welcome anyone in the community, local or a visitor, to our historical building. Can you help by being a friendly face in the Cathedral in any time slot during December? If so, please sign the rota in the Tower Porch or contact the Cathedral Office.
